About the Marketer

Please excuse the construction while I continue to build my site. All pages have content, but I’m still adding some case studies.

In my 11+ years of experience in marketing and business, I have had the pleasure of working on an incredible number of marketing projects, which I’m compiling here. I’m passionate about blending creativity and strategy to turn ideas into impactful marketing, drive growth, and foster long-term relationships.

I have always been a creative person with an eye for details, but I’ve also always been extremely logic-based. This combination led to my interest in marketing because it’s a field where I can let my creativity flow untethered to create logical and functional improvements, and where I can use science and technology to learn more about how my creativity can be even more effective in the next project.

I graduated from Penn State University in 2013. In my last year there, I was chosen for their first two International Marketing Competitions (click the arrows below for more details):

International Marketing Competition in Valencia, Spain:

For the first marketing competition, I was the sole representative for the United States. I flew out to Spain with 39 other students from around the globe, where we met with a local winery looking to branch out for new customers and markets. I came in second place due to my creativity, attention to detail, thorough research, and impressive presentation skills.

International Marketing Competition in the United States:

The first competition was so successful that Penn State decided to host one the following semester, and asked me to lead the endeavor. For this opportunity, we had 20 Penn State students and 20 German students participate. We visited Reading Bakery Systems (RBS) and put together marketing plans for them to expand into the Chinese market, which they had not previously done. I came in second place for my focus on utilizing RBS’s preferred technologies and my in-depth research on the Chinese market and culture.

While in my final year there, I also worked full time as a marketing intern at Arkema Inc and got a 4.0 GPA for the two semesters. After college, I continued working at Arkema, almost exclusively, until 2020, when I was laid off due to Arkema selling the business unit to Trinseo.

Since then I’ve been working primarily in sales while doing some marketing consulting on the side, and I’m so excited to get back into marketing full-time.
